Areas of law we cover
Landlord and Tenant Law
This is an area of law which deals with the rights and obligations of landlords and tenants. There are many different laws and rules. The rules for residential tenancies can be very different from those for commercial tenancies. For example the landlord of an assured shorthold tenant under the Housing Act 1988 will have the duty to keep in repair the structure of a property without the tenant paying a service charge whereas in the business sector the tenant will normally pay towards the landlords costs of repairing the premises.
The geographical reach of our network of specialist barristers is such that, subject to availability, we can offer representation at every Tribunal and court in England, Scotland and Wales.
